This week my parents asked me to come visit their new house (down in kentucky - cause my dad got a really good job there.. not cause they like it :P).
Anyway, having been here 2 days now it is clear there are some "buffalo v louville" comparrisons..
I figured you'd enjoy things I've noticed.

Public Smoking
Buffalo: people made a fuss about making it illegal to smokin in bars.
Louville: people making a fuss about proposal to ban smoking from day care centers.
- I swear I heard someone say this "it's our own private property!!!" ...those poor poor kids

In the News
Buffalo: It was 94 this week!
Louville: (this is not a joke) in the 2 days I was here: 2 men walked out of a prison, 2 others escaped.. all 4 found dead. Also a 7 year old killed a 62 year old man.
oh...and "can you believe it was only 72 today! in buffalo it was 94!"

Weather:
Buffalo: known for snow
Louville: apparently known for rain..
it has rained everyday this last week ( I assume due to hurricanes?) my parents told me.. and the last 2 days it's been hot as hell and still raining.

License Plates (yes I know what you're thinking... license plates?)
Buffalo: the standard NY statue of liberty one..
Louville: in the 2 days I've been here I've seen: smiley face on a sun plate, cardinal logo plate, cardinal mascot plate, UK plate, save the cardinals plate,
wildlife fund plate, 4 different veterans plates, and a slew of others I forget now..
apparently there are like 14 different ones to choose from....
WTF?!?

Radio:
Buffalo: nearly every channel is either conservative talk or "office music".
Kentucky: nearly every channel is either pissed off liberals or kick ass rock...
ya I know..how'd that happen??

and I'll leave you with this..
before I left...
they changed 92.9 to "jack fm"...wtf was that about?
does anyone know.. i liked that station..even when it went all chat..
but then it went way soft...
what happened?

Aw, I want a wildlife fund plate! I always thought you could only get state plates.

And Kentucky's radio is better because they're so far behind the North that they're playing music from when it used to rock!
